Cancellation & Refund Policy – KryoChat

1. Introduction
This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs subscription cancellations and refund requests for KryoChat ("Platform," "Service"), operated by Synqronlabs Pvt Ltd. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Subscription Cancellation
2.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your KryoChat subscription at any time through:
- Your account dashboard settings
- Contacting our support team at privacy@kryo.chat
2.2 Effect of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to paid features until the subscription expires
- Automatic renewal will be disabled
- No further charges will be processed
2.3 Immediate Termination
If you cancel mid-billing cycle, you will not receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion unless exceptional circumstances apply (see Section 3.4).
2.4 Reactivation
You may reactivate a cancelled subscription at any time. Standard subscription rates will apply.
3. Refund Policy
3.1 General Refund Terms
Payments processed through Razorpay and Dodo Payments are generally non-refundable except in the following circumstances:
- Billing errors or duplicate charges
- Service unavailability due to Platform failure (not Meta/Instagram outages)
- Unauthorized transactions reported within 7 days
- Technical issues preventing service access for 7+ consecutive days
3.2 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind or buyer's remorse
- Failure to use the Platform or its features
- Account suspension due to Terms of Service violations
- Instagram account termination or OAuth revocation by Meta
- Meta platform outages, API changes, or policy updates
- Payment processor fees or transaction charges
- Subscriptions cancelled mid-billing cycle (unless exceptional circumstances)
- Features not meeting subjective expectations
3.3 Refund Request Process
To request a refund:

- Your account email address
- Transaction ID or payment receipt
- Date of transaction
- Detailed reason for refund request
- Supporting documentation (screenshots, error logs, etc.)

We will review your request within 7-10 business days

If approved, refunds will be processed through the original payment method within 14-21 business days
3.4 Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for:
- Platform downtime exceeding 7 consecutive days
- Critical bugs preventing core functionality
- Billing errors or system malfunctions
- Unauthorized charges verified by payment processor
Note: Final refund decisions rest with Synqronlabs Pvt Ltd and are subject to verification.
4. Payment Processor Policies
4.1 Razorpay Transactions
Refunds for Razorpay transactions are subject to:
- Razorpay's Refund Policy
- Razorpay processing timelines (typically 5-7 business days)
- Bank processing delays (varies by institution)
4.2 Dodo Payments Transactions
Refunds for Dodo Payments transactions are subject to:
- Dodo Payments' terms and conditions
- Their standard refund processing timelines
- Payment gateway processing requirements
4.3 Payment Processor Fees
KryoChat is not responsible for:
- Payment processor transaction fees (non-refundable)
- Currency conversion charges
- Bank charges or international transaction fees
- Payment gateway processing delays
5. Billing Disputes
5.1 Disputing Charges
If you believe you were incorrectly charged:
- Contact us immediately at privacy@kryo.chat
- Provide transaction details and reason for dispute
- Do not initiate a chargeback before contacting us
5.2 Chargeback Policy
Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:
- Immediate account suspension
- Loss of access to Platform and data
- Legal action to recover disputed amounts
- Reporting to payment processors
Important: We work cooperatively to resolve billing disputes. Contact us before disputing charges with your bank.
5.3 Resolution Timeline
Billing disputes will be investigated within 7-10 business days. We will notify you of the outcome via email.
6. Subscription Changes & Downgrades
6.1 Plan Upgrades
If you upgrade your subscription:
- Changes take effect immediately
- You will be charged the full price of the new plan
- Your billing cycle resets to the upgrade date
- No credit or proration is applied from your previous plan
6.2 Plan Downgrades
If you downgrade your subscription:
- Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are issued for the difference
- You retain premium features until the billing cycle ends
6.3 Free Trial Conversions
If your free trial converts to a paid subscription:
- You will be charged at the end of the trial period
- Cancellation during the trial period avoids charges
- Trial periods cannot be extended or restarted
7. Account Deletion & Data Retention
7.1 Effect of Account Deletion
When you delete your account:
- Active subscriptions are automatically cancelled
- No refunds are issued for unused subscription time
- Data is queued for permanent deletion (see Privacy Policy, Section 5)
7.2 Data Recovery
Once account deletion is processed:
- Data cannot be recovered
- You cannot claim refunds for deleted accounts
- You must create a new account to use the Platform again
8. Force Majeure & Service Interruptions
8.1 No Liability for External Events
We are not liable for service interruptions caused by:
- Meta platform outages (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp)
- Payment processor downtime
- Natural disasters or acts of God
- Government actions or legal restrictions
- Internet service provider failures
- Cyberattacks or DDoS attacks
8.2 Planned Maintenance
Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. No refunds are issued for planned downtime.
9. Modifications to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of KryoChat constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Note: Changes to this policy do not affect refund requests already in progress.

11. Governing Law
This Cancellation & Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
12. Disclaimer
Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Synqronlabs Pvt Ltd. This policy does not create any legal obligation to issue refunds beyond what is required by Indian consumer protection laws.
